Jim Greenhalf, of Bradford’s Telegraph & Argus, has written an interesting piece on the recent grooming and child-exploitation scandals which have swept the
Greenhalf even mentions the English Defence League (EDL). He says, to be exact, that the EDL has ‘underlined the point’ that ‘those convicted in Keighley and Greater Manchester are Muslims’. I hope he’s not sacked for this acknowledgement of the EDL. After all, this isn’t support for the group, only a statement of fact. That fact being that before the police and social workers have seen the error of their Islamophiliac ways, only the EDL had the guts to say what was going on with Muslim grooming and exploitation of specifically non-Muslim girls.
The most ironic, and annoying, aspect of this piece has nothing to do with what Jim Greenhalf says. His piece has a photo of two jihab-clad Muslim girls walking down a
Jim Greenhalf also tells us that the Bradford Imam Forum ‘pledged to support the police’ on these issues. Apart from the fact that pledging support is quite a vague way of putting it, Muslims simply could not condone the actions of their fellow Muslim exploiters in the current environment in which they live and work. These imams live in an ostensibly secular, democratic and non-Islamic city. To condone fellow Muslims for taking their justified Koranic ‘booty’ would be to commit suicide in our society (at the moment). They simply could not say that the groomers’ actions were acceptable. Not yet, anyway.
